Moon Landing - 40th Anniversary selection

This week's Moon Landing 40th Anniversary selection is Ron Howard's Apollo 13. The movie recounts the edge-of-your-seat story of Apollo 13's aborted mission to the Moon when its oxygen tanks explode. The 3 man crew survives its return to Earth with limited water and heat. A complete synopsis of the movie, along with various facts including where the movie took "dramatic license" , can be found on its Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_13_(film) The movie was released, on DVD, several times over the past several years, including a Widescreen Collector's edition and a 2-disc Anniversary edition. While it was released on the now abandoned HD-DVD format, it has yet to be released on Blu-Ray.

General Motors Reinvention commercial

Welcome to my blog! I recently saw the General Motors TV commercial below. It explains what the New GM is going to be about. I thought it was well done. I am hoping that GM emerges from bankruptcy a strong competitive company. Some of the cars they have on tap look interesting - I hope they all see the light of day. And I hope that they get back to being a shareholder owned company. It was a sad day when GM got delisted from the stock exchanges.
