Movie Review: American Violet
Welcome to my blog! I wanted to let you know about a wonderfully acted, gut-wrenching movie called American Violet . There are so many themes involved - racism, absolute power, federal intervention, 'war on drugs' just to name a few - that it's hard to pinpoint just one. It's the based-on-a-true story of a young black woman caught up in a drug raid gone bad and all the politics behind it. You really have to see it. Be prepared for a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
